Enrollment Instructions for New Families: 
  1. Submit an online application here beginning March 2nd! 
  2. Once an application has been submitted your family will be contacted by the appropriate school office to schedule a family interview. 
  3. Upon acceptance families will need to finalize their child’s enrollment by completing an enrollment packet ( instructions will be included in the acceptance letter). 

 

Re-enrollment Instructions for Current Families:
  1. Log into your Family Portal account 
  2. Click on Apply/Enroll
  3. Click on Enrollment/Re-Enrollment
  4. Start Enrollment Packet

 

Enrollment Considerations:

Class enrollment will open on August 3rd on a first come, first serve basis according to the student’s enrollment date and class availability.

View a list of our high school and middle school course options from the 2019-2020 school year. Courses may be similar for the 2020-2021 school year but changes are possible. Beginning August 3rd the middle and high school principal will meet with the families to determine class enrollment.

HOW MUCH WILL EXTENSION STUDENTS INTERACT WITH TRADITIONAL FBA STUDENTS? IT IS OUR SINCERE HOPE THAT THE HSE STUDENTS WILL QUICKLY FEEL AS THOUGH THEY ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF OUR STUDENT BODY. THERE WILL BE MANY OPPORTUNITIES FOR FELLOWSHIP WITH EACH OTHER AND WITH ACADEMY STUDENTS. THE LEVEL OF INTERACTION WILL INCREASE AS A STUDENT PROGRESSES INTO THE UPPER GRADES.  PLEASE CONTACT THE ADMISSIONS OFFICE TO LEARN MORE.
WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR EXTENSION STUDENTS?
MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL HSE STUDENTS ARE TO FOLLOW THE DRESS DOWN GUIDELINES FOUND IN THE PARENT/ STUDENT HANDBOOK. ELEMENTARY HSE STUDENTS DO NOT NEED TO WEAR UNIFORMS, BUT NEED TO FOLLOW THE DRESS POLICY IN THE PARENT/STUDENT HANDBOOK.

 

WHAT ARE THE DISCIPLINE POLICIES FOR EXTENSION STUDENTS? THE DISCIPLINE POLICIES ARE THE SAME AS FOR THE FULL-TIME ACADEMY STUDENTS.

 

WILL EXTENSION STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN GRADUATION CEREMONIES?
HSE STUDENTS WILL NOT TAKE PART IN GRADUATION AND ARE NOT GRADUATES OF FBA.

 

CAN EXTENSION STUDENTS TAKE PART IN INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC TEAMS?
STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE, PROVIDED THEY FULFILL ALL OF THE NECESSARY PREREQUISITES AND QUALIFY UNDER FHSAA GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPATION AS A HOME SCHOOL STUDENT. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO BE CONNECTED TO THE FHSAA REQUIRED DOCUMENTS. THERE IS A SEPARATE FEE FOR SPORTS PARTICIPATION.

 

HOW WILL EXTENSION FAMILIES BE KEPT “IN THE LOOP” WITH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES IN WHICH WE ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE?
HOME SCHOOL EXTENSION FAMILIES WILL HAVE ACCESS TO OUR SCHOOL’S COMMUNICATION SOURCE, FAMILY PORTAL, WHERE THEY CAN ACCESS SCHOOL RESOURCES, CALENDARS, EVENTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS ALONG WITH “FAMILY BILLING” TO SECURE PAYMENT OF LUNCH, SPORTS, AND OTHER SCHOOL FEES.  HSE FAMILIES WILL ALSO BE INCLUDED IN SCHOOL-WIDE COMMUNICATIONS, APPROPRIATE SCHOOL LEVEL COMMUNICATIONS AND CLASSROOM TEACHER COMMUNICATIONS.
